Contributing Knowledge

Primary Data Notes
This artifact was done in the span of a day but for further analysis, I ended up watching certain portions of the Disney films for further analysis. In this analysis, I tended to focus on the scene where the character's attire was in full view or along with other individuals who either wore similar or differing attire. In addition to watching certain scenes, I also analyzed the DVD covers of the films since they are filming' first impressions.
This artifact is an example of Contributing Knowledge because the interpretation of a film and culture is needed. In order to do this, the researcher had to have some background knowledge about the film producers or the culture represented in them. This knowledge can be obtained through secondary sources. In addition to using secondary sources as background knowledge, the primary data notes consisted of both film scenes and the DVD cover images.
This artifact was of utter importance in my research because it focused on the audience and rhetor credibility.
