Synthesis Note Chart
This artifact was created after the line of inquiry was established through a minimal amount of research done but with an interest to research the topic chosen. This was done to ensure that the students in ENC 1102 would be to yield research papers that would be personally significant. After establishing a Line of Inquiry the next step is to find relevant sources to the Line of Inquiry.
This artifact is an example of Information Literacy because it was created as a way to reevaluate sources first deemed as relevant sources when it was first skimmed through or because it appears based on the narrowed down search terms. In the top row, the first 6 bolded questions are the "so what" questions and are used to evaluate credibility, ethics, and relevancy. The last two bolded questions compare the sources to identify similarities and differences among each source placed in the synthesis note chart.
This artifact was relevant to my research because it was a template that made the evaluation of sources less complex which made the research process a bit more pleasant.
